Finland to launch blockchain to track work performance

News in Brief

MTK the Finish Union for Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners is launching Finland’s first pilot e-government solution. Employment offices and employers will use the project in local communities.

Workers can save certificates of the jobs they’ve performed on the platform, and allow future employers and the employment office to view these. Employers can view and add job certificates. And the employment office can see the progress of an employee to ensure he/she fulfills benefits criteria.

The project involves blockchain company Essentia and the ToitaSuomesta.fi employment service developed by CoReorient Oy.
