NYSE Group has signed an agreement with Blockchain.com to explore distributing tokenized US listed stocks and ETFs to the crypto platform’s 44 million account holders through the NYSE’s forthcoming digital alternative trading system (ATS). Blockchain.com is the latest distribution partner the venue has gained, following deals with OKX in March and tZERO in August.
Each deal has its own shape. NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) invested in OKX, which agreed to distribute NYSE tokenized equities to its 120 million accounts. That deal also includes licensing OKX spot crypto prices for regulated futures contracts and collaboration on clearing and custody.
The tZERO agreements added a second approved digital transfer agent and broker dealer for the platform, alongside an ICE investment and plans to evaluate tZERO tokenized assets as clearing house collateral. The Blockchain.com deal is lighter on infrastructure but adds a two way data arrangement. ICE Data Services will distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data to institutional subscribers, and Blockchain.com will integrate NYSE and ICE exchange data feeds into its consumer app.
