Stripe is enabling cryptocurrency payments across its merchant network through a partnership with Crypto.com, launching January 2026 in the US with plans for international expansion.
“By tapping into Stripe’s vast merchant network, we’re bridging the gap between crypto holdings and real world spending – making digital currencies more accessible and useful in everyday life,” said Joe Anzures, EVP of payments and general manager of Americas at Crypto.com.
This integration represents a notable expansion of crypto spending options for Crypto.com clients. While cryptocurrency exchanges already issue Visa and Mastercard branded cards that allow clients to spend digital assets both online and in stores, those require a separate card instrument. The Stripe partnership enables users to spend crypto directly at checkout.
