Superstate launches direct issuance for tokenized public shares

superstate tokenization

Tokenization startup Superstate has expanded beyond converting existing shares to enable public companies to raise capital by issuing new tokenized stock directly to investors on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, with settlement in stablecoins.

This represents an evolution for Superstate which initially focused on secondary market tokenization. In September, Superstate partnered with Galaxy Digital to tokenize existing Nasdaq listed Galaxy shares at the transfer agent level, giving investors full shareholder rights. The new program focuses on helping companies raise follow on equity capital rather than simply converting existing shares to tokens.

Companies can issue additional shares under existing registrations using the same CUSIP and terms available through traditional brokerages, or file new registrations for different share classes. Superstate’s transfer agent infrastructure enables real time settlement, with issuers receiving stablecoins directly and investors receiving tokenized shares instantly in their wallets.
