Zodia Solutions integrates with TCS BaNCS securities platform for digital asset services

digital asset custody

Standard Chartered’s digital asset custody infrastructure spinout, Zodia Solutions, has integrated with the TCS BaNCS securities platform, used by major banks including Citi and JP Morgan. Tata Consultancy Services’ popular software provides banks with a route to offer crypto and tokenized asset services through their existing accounts and settlement rails.

TCS has been building out digital asset capabilities on its securities platform for several years. It first moved into crypto in 2020 with its Quartz Smart Solution for Crypto Services, a separate platform targeting banks that wanted to offer cryptocurrency trading. The digital asset capabilities then came to the BaNCS securities platform itself, first with Bitcoin Suisse in early 2023. Then in February 2024, PostFinance became the first systemically important Swiss bank to offer crypto trading to its customers, using TCS BaNCS for off chain management of the investment lifecycle including settlement and custody.

The Zodia Solutions integration adds a digital asset custody and execution solution, deployed within the bank’s own environment. The bank retains the private keys, the custodian relationship and full governance over its digital asset operations. TCS BaNCS manages the full transaction lifecycle from order instruction through to on chain delivery and reconciliation.
