WisdomTree has introduced a new digital fund that brings private credit exposure to blockchain based investors through its tokenized platform infrastructure. The WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund, trading under the token ticker CRDT, launched on both the WisdomTree Prime retail platform and WisdomTree Connect institutional service.
The fund tracks the Gapstow Private Credit and Alternative Income Index, the same benchmark followed by WisdomTree’s existing exchange traded fund HYIN. By tokenizing this strategy on Ethereum and Stellar blockchains, WisdomTree aims to make private credit markets accessible to crypto native investors who previously faced barriers accessing these alternative investments.
CRDT offers same day settlement for subscriptions and two day settlement for redemptions, with a minimum investment threshold of just $25. The structure provides daily liquidity and transparency while targeting the income potential associated with private credit investments, an asset class that has gained significant attention for its yield characteristics and diversification benefits.
